Custom Angled Industrial Table
We used 1850s roofing boards from an old saloon that was being demolished in downtown Savannah, GA. The antique wood was dry and brittle, and we had little room for error. The angles were especially tricky with this type of wood, but I don’t think it would have been the same without it. The metal is darkened steel that was also fabricated by Matt.
A few weeks of the tricky build rolled into a few weeks of a custom faux-finishing job that was extremely detailed. I spent 14 hours layering, staining and painting on the tiny details of each bit of texture to give it this finish, because turning this dark red and brown striped pine into this even-toned modern beauty was a challenge within itself.
I think my favorite part of this large beauty is the level of artistry and craftsmanship that go into something like this. Matt and I work hand-in-hand from start to finish on our builds. This was a very challenging build, but so worth it in the end.
We're so proud to bring these pieces to life for our incredible clients.
