A beautiful antique heavy wood box, estimated to be from the 1930s. We can envision it once perched in a library or an office for the safekeeping of items. It has a skeleton key lock but no key. Back then, the skeleton keys were used instead of knobs on some drawers like this. It can be opened, however, by pushing the drawer out from underneath. As such, it is the perfect piece to keep valuables or to hide things in! It is easy to open once you know how ;)
Measures 6" tall by 11" wide. Has some areas of white glue on the side (see photos) that is from a repair probably 80 or more years ago.
